Portmeirion's annual music event has been nominated in three
different categories at the national festival honours
This September we were proud to welcome Festival No.6 to the village
for another weekend of good food, great music and even better company.
With record-breaking numbers of festival-goers attending, this
year's event was by far the biggest and best yet to grace the
shores of our unique peninsula.
The UK Festival Awards has
celebrated the best in British festivals for the last 10 years, and
this year Festival No.6 is in line to receive recognition for its
unique cultural offering.
Festival No.6 has been nominated for three awards, including
Best Small Festival, Best Family Festival and Best Headline
Performance from Grace Jones.
Grace Jones' Sunday night finale was certainly worthy of such an
honour; the 67-year-old ex-supermodel stormed the stage in
typically dramatic fashion while covered in white body paint.
Other notable performances included a characteristically sharp
and witty spoken routine from actor and comedian Steve Coogan, an
energetic delivery of soul and funk in the rum tent from Craig
Charles and a spine-tingling recital from the Brythoniaid Male
With Michelin star banquets, spectacular artistic performances
and secret woodland gigs, Festival No.6 is so much more than just a
three-day music event. We are delighted to be such a big part of
what makes the festival so unique, and we will certainly be placing
a vote in all three categories.

The winners will be announced on November 26 at a special
