Welcome to Castell Deudraeth brasserie, an informal contemporary styled restaurant on the Portmeirion estate. 

Castell Deudraeth is open for lunch from 12.00 noon daily and every evening from 6.30pm. You are welcome to call in without a reservation however at busy times this may involved a wait for a table. If you have a two course lunch at Castell Deudraeth you can request a free entry voucher to Mike Gardens Apr 2007 008Portmeirion Village. This is only available for use after lunch and is valid for the rest of the day.

There is a children's menu available for children.

Lunch is available from 12.00 noon to 2.30pm daily.

Dinner is available from 6.30pm to 9.30pm every evening.

Booking is not required but is advisable if you do not want to risk waiting for a table at busy times (School holidays, Sunday lunch, Friday and Saturday evenings for example).

Front of House Manager Nia Francis and her team provide efficient and friendly service and Castell Deudraeth's Head Chef Mark Muscroft maintains a high standard of cooking (awared a Rosette by the AA).

Produce is sourced locally including lobster, crab and scallops from the Llyn peninsula, Welsh oysters brought in daily from the Menai Straites, local mussels as well as various varieties of fish.

Restaurant

The interiors are contemporary with furniture by Benchmark Woodworking, local slate floors and plain white walls hung with paintings by Clough Williams-Ellis' grand-daughter Menna Angharad  .

The Bar has an extensive wine list with may served by the glass as well as locally produced cask and bottled beers and ales. Mws Piws (Purple Moose) beer from Porthmadog is popular as is Brains bitterfrom South Wales.

CASTELL FROM GARDENWelsh Whisky has recently made a comeback with the excellent Penderyn Welsh Whisky produced in the village of Penderyn.
