During the day an informal terrace and lounge menu is available; No booking required. However there are sometimes weddings on Fridays and Saturdays that take over the hotel dining room. Please call 01766 770000 or 01766 772311 to check. 

On Sundays a traditional three course Sunday lunch is served (please pre-book on line or call 01766 770000 to book).

Christmas lunches are served from early December onwards.

18From 7.00pm to 9.30pm the Hotel offers an a la carte and  table d'hôte menu.

The Hotel Portmeirion's dining room was built by Clough Williams-Ellis in 1931 as a curvilinear extension to his main hotel, overlooking the estuary. It currenlty has two rosettes from the AA.

Head Chef

Award winning Head Chef Mark Threadgill leads a team of 14 at The Hotel Portmeirion. He has created a menu that gives a contemporary twist to the classic style. The restaurant was recently awarded two rosettes for cooking by the AA. The art deco dining room was redesigned by Terence Conran in 2005. The Dining Room is open for breakfast daily and has a lounge & terrace menu available during the day, plus dinner every evening. A traditional Sunday lunch is served from 12.30 to 2.00pm.

Private Dining Room

Portmeirion Bar 1The Dining Room has a private dining room called The Estuary Suite where private functions for lunch or dinner can be catered for, for both residents and non-residents. The private dining room can accommodate 20 at one large table or 30 on three tables of 10. The conservatory can be used for smaller private functions of up to 12 people at one round table. Our conference and banqueting team are on hand to assist with arrangements once you have made your booking.
