The Gazzebo
The Gazebo (1983) was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis to
mark the centenary of Clough's birth.
This was officially opened by Sir Hugh
Casson. The gazebo makes use of six of the 30 mermaid panels that
Clough had acquired in 1954 from the Seaman's Home in Liverpool.
Clough often said he hoped his descendants would give his village
little presents and he would no doubt have approved of this
one.
