Civil Ceremonies
Portmeirion has 4 rooms licensed for civil
ceremonies, from the intimate Mirror Room for 12, to the Jacobean
styled Hercules Hall for 100. There is a room to fit all
weddings.
Mirror Room
Situated in the main Hotel the Mirror Room has floor to ceiling windows on one side, and has srunning views of the Dywryd Estuary. It is the ideal venue for the more intimate ceremonies for up to 12 guests
Ricardo Pearce Suite
Situated on the first floor of Castell Deudraeth, the Ricardo Pearce Suite is light an airy, ith beautiful views of the garden, grounds and the Estuary. It has it's own small private balcony. The Ricardo Pearce Suite can host ceremonies for up to 30 guests
Tudor Room
Situated in the Town Hall, the Tudor Room is an oak panelled room, with a private Terrace overlooking the gardens and the Estuary. The Tudor Room can host ceremonies for up to 45 guests
Hercules Hall
The Hercules Hall is also a part of the Town Hall. It is a striking Jacobean oak panelled hall with a unique plaster cast ceiling dating from the 1600s. The Hercules Hall can comfortably host ceremonies for up to 100 guests.
The above suites have been granted a license to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies. Unfortunately the license does not allow ceremonies to be held in the grounds or in any other buildings.
If you wish to marry by Civil Ceremony in Portmeirion you should first contact the Superintendent Register of the district to confirm that she is able to attend and conduct the ceremony on the date you require. This can be done 12 months in advance.

The fees for solemnisation of marriage should be paid direct to the Registrar (They do not include any Hotel charges).
A ceremony that takes place in the Hercules Hall, Tudor Room, Ricardo Pierce or Mirror Room must have no religious connotations. The Superintendent Registrar who performs the ceremony will outline the manner in which it is to be conducted.
